Irma Bretado

My name is Irma Bretado. This is my 19th year teaching at George C. Clarke and 23rd year with FWISD. Prior to that, I was teaching at Ready Start for 5 years. I believe that students deserve the best education; therefore, I strive to do my best to meet all my students' needs. The GCC community has become part of my family!

Mi nombre is Irma Bretado.

Devon Magness

My name is Devon Magness and I'm a 1st grade teacher at George C. Clarke Elementary. This is my 8th year at GCC and my 15th year in Education (should be my 23rd but that story is for another day.) I've taught middle school math, Special Education (all spectrums), 5th grade and now rocking 3rd grade. I received my bachelors in Elementary Education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where I received a full-ride scholarship to play basketball. I am a mother of 2, a 7th grader and an 8th grader, who were once GCC Cougars. This year I have the opportunity to be the 3rd grade Reading teacher. No matter how this year plays out, I can promise my scholars will learn and overcome obstacles that come their way. I look forward to connecting with the students and preparing them for middle school. My philosophy in education is All Children are Teachable and Success is Built on Failures. Mistakes, if willing to accept, are opportunities for learning. The process might look different for each learner but fully capable for growth and relationships matters! Thank you for trusting us with your child's knowledge, safety, and well-being. 2025-2026 will be an amazing year!

Estela Ortiz

My name is Estela Ortiz. I teach the regular program and I am on my 9th year of teaching at GCC. I really enjoy working with the students and staff here at GCC. I really love how the community is so involved in our school and always wants to help our students and support our staff.

I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 2015 with my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies. On my time off, I spend all my time with my family. I really enjoy being outdoors and spending time on the softball field watching my daughters play softball.
