My name is Hilda Perez and I am the school counselor at George C. Clarke Elementary.  This is my 11^th year as a school counselor.  I also taught at GCC for 11 years and I was an elementary student at this amazing school.  My 4 children attended all their years at Clarke.  So, as you can imagine, this school is very special to me.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.  I then proceeded to get my teaching credentials from Tarleton State University.  Furthermore, I received my Master’s degree from Tarleton State in 2013.  I am currently pursuing my Leadership certification from Lamar University.  I really enjoy traveling with my family and simple weekend cookouts.  I have 3 adult sons and 1 adult daughter.  They definitely keep me on my toes.  I look forward to the good things in life and I remind myself daily to be mindful of the little things each day.
